Bergen Biogas Plant, Norway
Bergen Biogas Plant in Norway accepts
biological sludge, chemical sludge and other types of sludge and grease from
different sewage treatment plants and factories. The plant processes 45,000
cubic meters of mixed sludge annually with a dry solid concentration of 22.5%.
It is equipped with two digestion tanks with a volume of 3,200 cubic meters
each, adopting 55-degree centigrade thermophilic anaerobic digestion. The
biogas generated from anaerobic digestion is upgraded into vehicle natural gas,
and the residue is reused as bio-fertilizer in farmland.
Purac is responsible for the process
design, equipment supply, start-up and operation as well as process guarantee
of this project.
