Anaerobic Project for Kitchen Waste in Lishui District, Nanjing

In June 2020, the anaerobic and wastewater treatment project of the 500t/d domestic waste co-processing demonstration line project of Lishui Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd. began to enter the construction stage. Purac signed a contract with Nanjing Wondux Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly provide EPC services for the project. The main process route of this demonstration line project is to divide municipal domestic waste (raw mixed waste) into RDF, ferrous metal and kitchen waste (wet waste) through refined sorting technology. The organic slurry made from kitchen waste enters the ANAMET anaerobic system provided by Purac for anaerobic digestion and biogas production and resource utilization. This project is a bold innovation and practice in the industry of co-processing domestic waste by cement kilns. It has extremely important demonstration significance and will provide a new direction and engineering experience for the large-scale treatment of wet waste after domestic waste classification.

The demonstration line project adopts the advanced domestic waste pretreatment technology of Sinoma International Environmental Engineering (Beijing) Co., Ltd. It is invested, constructed and operated by Lishui Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd. It can handle about 165,000 tons of domestic waste in Lishui District of Nanjing and surrounding areas every year. In order to further improve the level of "harmlessness, reduction and recycling" of waste treatment and at the same time relieve worries for waste classification, this time, Purac's ANAMET anaerobic technology with hundreds of engineering cases at home and abroad is used to treat kitchen waste. The biogas generated is used for cogeneration. This project has the characteristics of complex material components, few reference cases and short construction period. With rich experience, advanced and reliable technology and many successful cases in the field of organic waste treatment in Europe and China, Purac provides customers with a solution with high stability, high flexibility and low comprehensive construction and operation costs, and finally wins the recognition of customers.
