The Baoshan Renewable Energy Utilization Center project is jointly constructed by SIIC Group and Baowu Group. It is committed to improving the environmental outlook of the region, enhancing the comprehensive urban supporting facilities, and is an excellent environmental protection project built for the Yangtze River Delta region to become a leading demonstration area implementing the new development concept nationwide. The total designed treatment capacity is 3,800 t/d, of which the wet waste treatment capacity is 800 t/d. The main workshop and various individual structures are integrated together in the form of a green large roof and a hollowed-out metal curtain wall to create a magnificent mountain effect, which is the first of its kind in China.

The anaerobic system of the Baoshan Project will be built under the large roof, which poses extremely high requirements for the safety, stability and deodorization of the anaerobic system. With decades of rich experience accumulated in the field of organic waste treatment in Europe and China, advanced and reliable technologies and many successful cases, Purac has finally won the recognition of the customer. In 2020, Purac Environmental Systems (Beijing) Co., Ltd. signed a supply contract for the anaerobic treatment system of wet waste slurry and accompanying services with Shanghai Shangshi Baojingang Environmental Resources Technology Co., Ltd.
