Wuxi Huilian Kitchen Waste Treatment Project is invested and constructed by Wuxi Guolian Company, and it is the first large-scale food waste treatment project in Wuxi. The project is located in the central-northern part of the factory area of Wuxi Huilian Thermal Power Co., Ltd., at Cangqiaotou, Yanqiao Street, Huishan District. The service area includes the entire area of Huishan District and Binhu District, as well as some areas of Liangxi District, the project was put into operation in March 2019.

The Wuxi Government has put forward higher requirements to design and construct the food waste treatment project with "the best technology, the best equipment, and the strictest standards", adopting the world-leading anaerobic biotechnology, ultimately transforming food waste into biogas to achieve resource recycling and utilization, with a total investment of 228 million yuan.
