Gaoantun sludge project rated as sludge anaerobic treatment excellent case

2019 sludge treatment and disposal excellent case selection activity organized by E20 Environmental Platform was successfully completed recently, and the selection results were announced at the "2019 (11th) Shanghai Water Industry Forum" on August 17, and the Beijing Gaoantun sludge treatment center project recommended by Purac was rated as "2019 Excellent Case of Sludge Treatment and Disposal".

Purac signed the contract of Beijing Gaoantun sludge treatment center project In 2015, the process adopted integrated treatment solution of sludge thickening + sludge pretreatment + thermal hydrolysis + anaerobic digestion + plate and frame dewatering process. Purac provided overall process design and system integration consulting services, as well as the core equipment supply and technical services such as commissioning and trial operation of sludge anaerobic digestion subsystem.

This project is a super-large-scale sludge treatment project in Beijing with a treatment capacity of 1,836 tons/day, sludge from a number of sewage treatment plants. The plant set eight anaerobic tanks with volume of 12,000 cubic meters each, biogas output is 110,000 cubic meters per day used for power generation. The operation has been stable since the plant put into operation in 2017.
