Hebei Mauri Yeast Wastewater Treatment Plant
AB Mauri is a yeast production enterprise headquartered in the UK. At present, there are five factories in China. Purac has participated in the construction of Hebei Mauri sewage plant in the whole process. From early project consultation to scheme preparation, Purac provided project services in the mode of process general contracting after winning the bid, which mainly includes construction drawing design, equipment supply and installation, process commissioning and operation guidance.
The wastewater of the project comes from the yeast production process. The wastewater treatment plant adopts Purac's ANAMET® anaerobic treatment process, DN-N denitrification process and three-stage PAC chemical precipitation process. Denitrification process with proprietary MTS of Purac Jet aeration technology uses the large flow of jet pump to generate a large proportion of nitrification denitrification internal circulation, so as to achieve the efficient removal of ammonia nitrogen organic matter. The project is another typical case of energy conservation and environmental protection of waste water recycling, low-carbon and transforming traditional sewage treatment into energy utilization.
Purac also successfully completed the wastewater treatment project of Harbin Mauri yeast. The wastewater of the project comes from the yeast production process. The whole project is divided into three phases, lasting for two years, and passed the completion acceptance of the environmental protection system in 2007. After the completion of the wastewater treatment plant, the COD removal rate of high concentration wastewater can reach 97% and the ammonia nitrogen removal rate can reach 96% after anaerobic and aerobic treatment. It can remove 14 tons of COD and produce 5000m3 of biogas every day. Biogas can be used as boiler fuel to provide heat for yeast production, so as to realize the renewable utilization of energy and generate considerable economic benefits. At present, Purac has also implemented the phase IV upgrading and reconstruction project in Mauri, Hebei Province.
