Himmerfjarden Municipal Sewage Treatment Plant, in Sweden

The DeAmmon process of the Himmerfj ä rden sewage treatment plant in Stockholm, Sweden was officially put into use in 2007. The Himmerfj ä rden sewage treatment plant is currently running well. The nitrogen design load of the plant is 600 kg/day and the nitrogen removal rate is 80%. Hartingen sewage plant in Germany has been put into operation since 2003. The designed nitrogen load of the water plant is 120 kg/day, and the actual operating load is 180 kg/day. The nitrogen removal rate is more than 80%, and no additional carbon source is required, resulting in less sludge.
