Suzhou Industrial Park Restaurant Waste Treatment Project-- (Phase I + Phase II)
Project Overview:
Scale: Restaurant waste (including expired food) 300 t/d + leachate 100 t/d
Biogas Production: 30,000 m³/d
Use of Biogas: After purification, it is integrated into the municipal gas pipeline
Start-up Time: 2018
Suzhou Industrial Park Restaurant Waste Treatment Project is invested and constructed by Huayuan Environmental Industry Development (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. It is a key project for the construction of ecological civilization in Suzhou and an important environmental protection infrastructure project for the Industrial Park. The project is located on the east side of Jinyan Road. After the completion of Phase I, it achieves a daily treatment capacity of 300 tons of restaurant waste (including expired food) and 100 tons of leachate. Due to the successful execution of Phase I, in 2020, Purac signed a contract for the Phase II kitchen waste anaerobic treatment project. After the completion of Phase II, it will achieve a daily treatment capacity of 300 tons of restaurant waste, 100 tons of leachate, and 300 tons of kitchen waste.
The Phase I project is an overall EPC engineering project, and Purac is responsible for the design and engineering scope, including the pretreatment system, anaerobic system, sludge treatment system, biogas purification system, wastewater treatment system, and odor control system, etc., turning urban organic waste into biogas energy and achieving green and sustainable development of the city.
Implementation Effect: Drawing on the experience of similar domestic and foreign projects, and in accordance with the construction requirements of "internationally advanced and domestically first-class," the project has the highest environmental protection requirements and strict standards in the industry. The perfect combination of Suzhou-style gardens and modern factory design has no interference to surrounding residents, offices, and industrial enterprises. Relying on regional conditions, after the completion of the project, it can be linked with the surrounding existing environmental protection projects to achieve a multi-link resource recycling and utilization, such as organic waste treatment, sludge disposal, biogas utilization, and organic fertilizer production, becoming a "urban mine" resource recycling and utilization demonstration park with great demonstration value in China. The project was awarded as a demonstration case in the "2020 Sanitation Industry Typical Case" selection organized by the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association.
