In December 2021, Purac signed the contract for anaerobic system of Guangming Environmental Park PPP project with Shenzhen Guangming Expressway Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. This is another large-scale collaborative anaerobic treatment project of restaurant waste and household waste, following a number of collaborative anaerobic treatment projects such as Chongqing Luoqi (2,500 tons/day of restaurant waste and sludge), Suzhou Industrial Park (700 tons/day of restaurant waste, household waste and leachate) and Shanghai Baoshan (800 tons/day of restaurant waste and household waste).

The project is located on the east side of Dayan Mountain Forest Park in Guangming District, with a design capacity of 800 tons of restaurant waste, 200 tons of household waste and 70 tons of waste oil per day, serving a population of 7 million. Purac ANAMET fully mixed anaerobic digestion system is adopted, including 4 sets of anaerobic reactor with volume of 10000m3 each.

Since the project will be built in the mid mountain area where the site is tight, the customer has put forward extremely high requirements for the safety, stability and land occupation of the anaerobic system. With decades of experience in the field of organic waste treatment in Europe and China, advanced and reliable technology and pragmatic craftsmanship, Purac provided customers with safe, stable, small footprint and low integrated operation cost solution, and finally won the recognition of customers.

The project covers an area of 41,626m2, as a large-scale restaurant waste co-digestion treatment pilot project in Shenzhen, using advanced waste treatment technology, adhering to the concept of de-industrialization, integrating industrial buildings and forest parks, combining the display of new urban infrastructure with ecological leisure, and combining the vision of building a beautiful China with the promotion of environmental protection concepts.

After the completion of the project, it will become the largest organic waste resourceful treatment facility in Shenzhen, as well as the benchmark project which will lead the direction of domestic organic waste resourceful treatment technology.
