Project Overview:
Raw Materials and Scale: 1000 tons/day of vegetable waste
Biogas Production: 26000 m³/ d
Application of Biogas: Purification of BNG
Purac Range: Anaerobic System

The vegetable waste treatment project in Jinning, Yunnan is located in the Jinning Industrial Park. It is designed to treat 1000 tons of vegetable waste per day, 365000 tons of vegetable waste per year, 8.03 million m³ of biogas per year, 4.38 million m³ of natural gas per year after biogas purification, and 16000 tons of organic fertilizer per year. In 2017, Purac signed a contract for the design, supply, and commissioning of the project, providing core technology and equipment for the project.
The project adopts Purac's medium temperature anaerobic digestion technology and sets up two anaerobic tanks of 11000 cubic meter. After vegetable waste enters the plant, it undergoes anaerobic fermentation, and the generated biogas is purified into biomass natural gas. The biogas slurry is treated to meet the emission standards and the biogas residue is composted. The project has been put into operation since 2020.

Implementation Effect:
After completion, the project will become a demonstration project for ecological agriculture and new energy environment in Yunnan. It will drive the entire ecological agriculture and biogas construction industry and take a new step towards industrialization and commercial services. The biomass energy generated by the project can reduce dependence on petrochemical fuels, decrease carbon emissions, and meet the national strategic goal of peaking carbon emissions and reducing carbon emissions.
