ANAMET

The ANAMET® is a biological treatment process that uses anaerobic microorganisms to complete the decomposition and transformation of organic matter in materials, most of which are converted into biogas. The great advantage of this technology is that it can degrade and convert organic matter at the expense of little energy and chemicals, and recovers biomass green energy, which is a real process to turns waste into treasure.

ANAMET® is a proven and reliable technology that has been promoted and applied in many countries around the world, and its operation & maintenance costs are lower than those of other similar technologies. This process is widely used in the treatment of municipal solid waste (restaurant food waste, municipal sludge, kitchen waste, etc.), agricultural waste (straw, fruits and vegetables, livestock manure, etc.), and high-concentration industrial wastewater and waste residue (yeast wastewater, vinasse, vinegar residue, etc.). With the successful application of the ANAMET® anaerobic process, from 2014 to 2020, PURAC was awarded the "Annual Leader of Anaerobic Technology Solutions in the Field of Organic Waste Treatment in China's Solid Waste Industry" and "Leader in Sludge Anaerobic Digestion Technology in the Field of Sludge in the Water Industry" by the E20 Environmental Platform for many years, and also won the first prize of Scientific Progress Award issued by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government in 2018. This technology is also used in the Changsha Joint Kitchen Treatment Project, which has won awards such as "Typical Case of Resource Recycling in Hunan Province" and "Benchmark Project of Environmental Sanitation Industry in Hunan Province".

ANAMET® Features and Benefits
- The reactor can be made of steel, with shorter construction period and longer service life. At present, there are steel reactors that have been in operation for more than 20 years in China.
- Volume of single reactor can be up to 14000m3 for sludge and organic waste digestion treatment at present.
- Less system equipment, simple maintenance & control, and land saving for large scale projects
- Simple start-up and commissioning, stable operation, and shock load resistance
- Higher degradation rate and more biogas production
- Specially customized mechanical agitator: homogenous mixing, low energy consumption, not easy to wear
- External heat exchanger: high efficiency, easy maintenance
