SELAC ® Aerobic Activated Sludge Process (Selection Tank + Activated Sludge Aeration Tank)
In order to increase the BOD concentration at the front part of aeration tank, promote the proliferation of floc forming bacteria, inhibit the growth of filamentous bacteria, effectively suppress the expansion of activated sludge, and increase the operational reliability of the activated sludge process, the reflux sludge is mixed and contacted with the raw water in the selection tank. This creates conditions for microbial populations to compete for survival in high concentration and high load environment, selects unique microbial populations suitable for the system, and effectively inhibits the excessive proliferation of filamentous bacteria, avoiding the occurrence of sludge swelling phenomenon.
